Marco Ruggiero, born in Belgium on March 16, 1970, learned to play the guitar as a child and given his Italian origin, he first sang traditional Italian and typical Neapolitan folk with songs by Eugenio Bennato and La Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare.

After high school he was selected to study at the Academy of Dramatic Art “Studio Herman Teirlinck” in Antwerp. As a singer he was classically trained by Aria-Antica singing teacher Hilde Mulkers. In 1993 he formed his first band with which he performed in various music clubs and festivals, with a repertoire of his own songs and covers by other Italian artists.

His musical repertoire consists of his own versions of Italian and Neapolitan traditional songs and his own songs, originated from experiences with a deep connection with life on Earth, the Earth itself and the Cosmos. The songs are alternately rhythmic and sensual, with the soul always being touched, addressed, remembered and encouraged.
