Inbuilt Obsolescence releases 'These Hands Do What They Can'OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY Goryl Records Inbuilt Obsolescence is the retrofuturistic product of guitarist Owain Arthur and a computer (unnamed) - inbuilt obsolescence (or io for short) is at once a meditation on the shortcomings of human-kind in comparison to our sophisticated machine-progeny, and a visual reference to the capricious on-off nature of our digital world. In an attempt to wrangle some middle ground between the two worlds of a musician sat at home making loops and writing songs + the infernally infinite whirring of our binary would-be-successors io performances involve heavy use of loop-machines, processing, and real-time editing to create a groovy, danceable sonic-canvass upon which instrumental and vocal textures can relax into a trance-like psychedelic day-dream. Think organic forms, digital processes.
