Jacob Khalil is a full-time singer, songwriter, and pianist based in New York City. He wrote, 'I Still Believe' while he was on a walk in Ft. Tryon Park in Northern Manhattan. As Jacob overlooked the Hudson River he just thought about all that we they are trying to accomplish as a country.

Jacob Khalil thought about his father who is an immigrant from the Middle East. He came to the U.S. seeking freedom that he didn't find where he lived in Jordan. On the other hand, he thought of the many struggles so many people of different ethnicities, religions, lifestyles, skin colors, etc. have had to endure in a country that claims to be free.

We have a long way to go, and it has been a bumpy road. This song is a love letter to Jacob Khalil country. It is a song that's meant to unite a nation that has been so divided. These lyrics are not a political stance, they are an acknowledgement that we can figure it out; we can love each other more. We can find ways to make everyone feel a little bit more free in this country. Jacob Khalil wrote the song in New York City, and he had it produced in Nashville by Jordan Turner and Mixed/Mastered in Los Angeles by Dee Kei Waddell.
