Ottawa, Canada duo wotts has released their latest single 'Before'. With this track, the band leaves its hip hop roots in the dust and embraces a pop infused sound. While it’s a departure from what the group has put out to date, the track represents where wotts sees itself moving next.

While the energetic instrumental makes it seem like it’s a happy song, the theme of 'Before' focuses on the end of a relationship. As many people often experience, especially in long relationships, someone might think their partner is their forever, but the reality is, people don’t stay the same, they either grow together or they don’t.
