Justin Bieber has come under fire for apparently turning down a request from a fan for a hug.

The singer was filmed on Monday (July 18) saying 'no' to an awaiting girl.

The clip was shot at a department store in New York as the Canadian revealed a new clothing line.

Bieber has been heavily criticised for the rejection, but he has not addressed it yet on social media.

In May the singer took to Instagram to suggest that he won't take photos with fans anymore.

He said he felt like a "zoo animal", with people more interested in grabbing a picture than saying hello.
