Justin Bieber to represent new teen credit card

Canadian sensation Justin Bieber has signed up to promote a brand new credit card aimed at teenagers.

The reloadable SpendSmart debit card has been launched by BillMyParents.com and will charge users for periods of inactivity, deposits and ATM withdrawals, and the 'Boyfriend' hitmaker is set to be the face of the product.

BillMyParents.com CEO Mike McCoy explained that Bieber will be perfect to represent the company and the card because he's of the appropriate age and is an admirable figure in society as well as in the spotlight:

"In addition to his many musical talents, Justin Bieber is a smart, motivated and socially conscious artist who actively works to have a positive social influence on his tens of millions of fans worldwide."

"By combining our new teen prepaid debit card with Justin's vast reach and financial educational materials, we can empower countless families with teens to think about responsible spending in a new and better way."
