Katy Perry has suggested that she has no imminent plans to start a family.

However, the singer said that she wants to "dedicate" her time to children "when" she begins to have them.

The US star told Australia's Daily Telegraph that she is still open to finding love after splitting from then husband Russell Brand in 2011.

Having children is something that is on the backburner, however, because she is still discovering her own personality.

Perry said: "I'm still growing up, I'm still learning about myself.

"When I become a mother I just want to become a mother and be dedicated to that."
