Katy Perry to perform at Obama fundraiser concert

Pop songstress Katy Perry has signed up to headline the upcoming fundraising concert for President Barack Obama in California.

A member of the fundraising team confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter and explained that the high-profile event, named '30 Days To Victory, is scheduled to take place on October 7 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

General admission to the concert is expected to cost $250 with tickets for Obama supporters under 40 years of age starting at $44 per person.

The Hollywood Reporter has also revealed that a dinner hosted by Jeffrey Katzenberg will be held after the show and tickets to attend that will cost a staggering $25,000 each.

Meanwhile, Perry has been 'cleansing her chakra' by meditating and climbing a volcano, and she took to social networking site Twitter today to share a photo of the stunning view from the summit.
