Ke$ha teases new single with Tokyo train performance and debuts cover art

Glitter-pop sensation Ke$ha has treated her online fan base to a preview of her brand new forthcoming single, 'Die Young', after performing part of it on a train in Japan.

She uploaded a short clip to YouTube earlier today (September 17) and shared the link with her 3.1 million Twitter followers, writing: "animals! you heard it here first..."

The monochromatic video shows Ke$ha travelling on Tokyo's busy subway system before bursting into song much to the surprise of the commuters both seated and stood around her.

Although the promotional clip is only 29 seconds long, the lyrics "I hear your heartbeat to the beat of the drums, oh what a shame that you came here with someone" can be heard."

"While you're here in my arms let's make the most of the night 'cause we're gonna die young," she continues.

She has also now shared the cover artwork for the single, which can be seen below.
