La Roux singer Elly Jackson is set to appear in a festive episode of British comedy Absolutely Fabulous.

The singer tweeted confirmation of the news, with the show due to air in the UK on January 1 on BBC One. The tweet said:

"Elly will make a guest appearance on the New Years episode of 'Absolutely Fabulous' on 1st January at 9.40pm on BBC One."

Earlier this year La Roux's debut album picked up a Grammy in the Best Electronic/Dance category, with her next album slated for a 2012 release.
