Brand new video from Lachlan Bryan and The Wildes - 'I Hope That I'm Wrong'
Lachlan Bryan & The Wildes, the Australian alt-country/Americana outfit due to return to the UK at the end of June, have shared the video for new single 'I Hope That I'm Wrong', taken from their fourth album 'Some Girls (Quite) Like Country Music' out in the UK/Europe on June 29th 2018 (pre-order via Bandcamp / iTunes). Check out the video via Youtube: https://
In their own words: "A lot of people have responded strongly to this song, and we wanted the film clip to show the writer’s perspective on it - which has a lot to do with the ugliness that we see inside ourselves. We bounced some thoughts around as a group before Shaun [Ryan] came up with the idea that became the video, inspired in part by by Oscar Wilde’s novel ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’.
Portraits are a theme of this whole record, and they are not always flattering. We’re adults now, which means we should be comfortable to lay ourselves bare - the tangled mess of humanity that each of us are. As well as the band (and a few cameos) this clip stars the beautiful Kellie Tori, an actress who’s soul we’re convinced is not nearly so dark as ours, but who was kind enough to conjure up some ugliness anyway (well, on canvas at least)!"
