Lorde has confirmed plans to tour Australia this spring.

The 17-year-old New Zealand starlet will take the short trip to the country for six dates in April and May.

It will kick off at Melbourne's Festival Hall on April 24 before concluding at the Riverstage in Brisbane on May 6.

There will be shows in the likes of Adelaide and Perth in between.

Tickets for the shows will go on sale from March 21. The full schedule is as follows:

• April 24 - Festival Hall, Melbourne 
• April 27 - EC Theatre, Adelaide     
• April 29 - Challenge Stadium, Perth
• May 2 - Hordern Pavilion, Sydney
• May 4 - Newcastle Entertainment Centre
• May 6 - Riverstage, Brisbane
