Miley Cyrus 'can't stop crying' as hospitalisation continues: 'I'm meant to be on stage'

Earlier this week, 'We Can't Stop' hitmaker Miley Cyrus was hospitalised after suffering a severe allergic reaction to medication and has since been forced to sit out dates on her current 'Bangerz' tour.

She took to her official Twitter page this afternoon (April 17) and told her followers that she's devastated to be missing shows and letting her fans down, and she feels as though she's just "meant to be" on stage:

"Can't quit crying. I wanna go back on tour. I'm meant to be onstage performing for y'all... not laying in a hospital bed."

The next date on Cyrus's tour is supposed to be taking place in Nashville on Friday, April 18 although it is unclear whether she will perform the show yet or not. On April 16, the superstar posted a message that slammed those who suggested she didn't have a good enough excuse to cancel shows and wrote:

"Humans can b so selfish. If any1 thinks I'd rather be layin' in a hospital bed than doing what I love on stage they're f**kin' LAME. I'm miserable."
