Ed Sheeran on Hilary Duff's forthcoming new album: 'It's an adult alternative acoustic sound'

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran teamed up with former Disney actress Hilary Duff earlier this year to work with her on a brand new album, and he has revealed that it's an exciting project because it's not what people might expect.

During a new interview with Digital Spy, he explained that her absence from the music scene means that fans will be expecting something 'different' and she will definitely deliver with this new offering:

"I think it'll be cool. She's been gone for so long living family life that I think there are a lot of fans waiting for something new. I feel like her record is not what they will expect."

Sheeran then added that her background of Disney TV and pop songs will work in her favour because it'll make the new material stand out even more: "Obviously she comes from Lizzie McGuire and that pop world, but she's more grown up now, so it's more of an adult alternative acoustic sound."

Back in May, Duff confirmed the working partnership and tweeted: "I’m cutting an Ed Sheeran song next week, which I’m really excited about."
