Hilary Duff to record song with Ed Sheeran

Hilary Duff has confirmed that her next album will feature an Ed Sheeran collaboration.

The singer and actress told MTV at the iHeart Radio Music Awards on May 1 that she is due to to record a track with the Brit soon.

She said: "I’m cutting an Ed Sheeran song next week, which I’m really excited about."

Duff's last album came in the shape of 2007's 'Dignity' and she added to MTV that a new single should be out "soon".

Sheeran meanwhile is due to have a busy time of it today (May 5) as he performs three shows in one day.

He is due to play in London, East Anglia and Dublin in promotion of his upcoming record 'x'.

The singer-songwriter tweeted this morning: "UK multiply day today. 3 shows, 30 mins, 1 hour, 2 hours. I won't be hanging around after the shows as I have to get off to the next city."
