Nicole Scherzinger on image-led Pussycat Dolls: 'I just wanted to sing'Nicole Scherzinger has admitted that the Pussycat Dolls were more about their image than singing. The US star was a member of the female ensemble for a number of years in the 2000s before forging a successful solo career. Speaking to This Morning, the singer said that she "just wanted to sing" in the group, which was focused more on its "look" than its talent. Referring to the title of her upcoming new album 'Big Fat Lie', Scherzinger said: "I've definitely had my struggles with weight, and in the Dolls emphasis was put on the look and for me I just wanted to sing...but I've matured as a woman. The former X Factor judge added: "There's a song on the album called 'Big Fat Lie', and I'm addressing some personal issues that I've had in the past that I've now conquered and I've moved forward from, and I want to be a voice and a light for other people.
