Enrique Iglesias equals Shakira's US chart record

Enrique Iglesias has equalled a US chart record once set by Shakira.

The singer's hit track 'Bailando' has now spent 25 weeks in a row at No.1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart.

This means that he has now equalled Shakira's previous record, which was secured by 'La Tortura' in 2005.

Speaking about the feat, Iglesias said: "Of all the songs I’ve written in Spanish, there’s something about this song. The more I listen to it, the more I seem to like it. There’s something addictive about this song."

The original version of 'Bailando' featured on Iglesias' 2014 record 'Sex + Love'.

The singer meanwhile is scheduled to return to the UK for four arena shows in November, with Demi Lovato acting as support.

He will play in Glasgow, London, Birmingham and Manchester.
