Australian pop-punkers 5 Seconds Of Summer are due to host DerpCon in the near future and member Ashton Irwin has expressed his excitement at the impending event. 

DerpCon, which is set to take place on November 15/16 in Los Angeles, will see fans from around the globe fly to California to all spend time together with the 5SOS lads and drummer Irwin took to his official Twitter page this afternoon (November 7) to talk about it.

The heartthrob wrote: "DerpCon is going to be so incredible, having fans from every corner of the planet in one place, so excited..."

Earlier this autumn, 5SOS guitarist Michael Clifford told reporters at the iHeartRadio that DerpCon will be like their very own comic convention:

"It’s sort of like our little take on a comic convention sort of thing, but it’s all 5SOS-related, and we are flying a bunch of people across the world to meet in Inglewood, and they are going to go to the Forum show and stuff. And we are going to give them all lap dances.”
