Olly Murs: 'The amount of work you have to put in after the X Factor is ridiculous'Olly Murs has opened up on life after the X Factor. The singer was a runner-up on the 2009 series of the UK show and he has since released four albums. He is one of the X Factor's biggest success stories, but Murs told Digital Spy that a massive amount of work is needed to be done after leaving the TV show. The Brit said: "I don't think people realise on the surface, people in the street or people that buy albums, how busy this job actually is. I think I didn't realise either, and I think The X Factor is kind of a crash course in how to become a popstar overnight, but actually the amount of work you have to put into it when you leave the show is ridiculous. "The biggest lesson I learned was how much I had to work, and actually I already had it in me that I knew I needed to work hard, but I didn't know I needed to work as hard as I have. It's very intense. A lot of travelling, a lot of being away from home. You have to be really strong-minded and a really strong personality to do this job." Murs' latest album 'Never Been Better' was released on Monday (November 24). Follow us: @Pressparty on Twitter / Pressparty on Facebook. Watch Olly Murs' 'Wrapped Up' video below:
