N.E.R.D. reunite for new song 'Squeeze Me'

Music trio N.E.R.D. have unveiled a brand new track titled ‘Squeeze Me’.

The band, made up by Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley, regrouped in order to compose their new tune for the soundtrack of forthcoming film ‘The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water’.

Chad Hugo has compared ‘Squeeze Me’ to The Beatles’ ‘Yellow Submarine’ (listen to the song below).

N.E.R.D – which stands for ‘No-one Ever Really Dies’ – released their last album, ‘Nothing’, in 2010.

Pharrell Williams has already enjoyed much solo success as a film soundtrack composer thanks to his work on the scores for ‘Despicable Me’ and its sequel, which earned him an Oscar nomination for the track ‘Happy’.

Pharrell also showed off his love for the Nickelodeon cartoon character earlier this year by making Spongebob Sqaurepants the theme of his 41st birthday party.
