Iggy Azalea gives new album update: 'I'm making a documentary on it'

'Fancy' rapper Iggy Azalea has updated her fans on her forthcoming new album's progress.

The beauty shared the information via Twitter much earlier today (August 9) and explained that she has completed a total of 6 songs so far and her followers can expect the lead single to drop in 2016: "Also album update for the fans: "I'm in the studio as I type this, things are going great & moving along. 6 songs completed on the album."

Azalea went onto add that while she probably won't create a deluxe edition of the record, she is shooting an accompanying visual documentary: "I don't plan on doing a deluxe, just a standard. Also there is a documentary being made about it to watch."

Back in June, the beauty confessed that she had "scrapped an entire 6 months of work and started totally new". Despite starting over, she was quick to reassure her fans that she wouldn't be changing her sound too drastically: "It's too early to tell yet exactly how things will sound overall, but I'm not looking to abandon my identity."
