LCD Soundsystem uses steroids for gigLCD Soundsystem singer James Murphy revealed that he had to use steroids in order to keep his voice on form for the first date of the group’s UK tour last night (November 10). The band rocked the Alexandra Palace last night with co-headliners Hot Chip, giving the audience a taste of their latest album ‘This Is Happening’ as well as performing a number of older hits from their canon. During the concert, Murphy revealed that he had lost his voice during the band’s European dates “Thank you very much – this is a very nice experience for us,” he said. “I have to put an asterisk next to this show because I took steroids to get through this show.” LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip will be playing tonight (November 11) at the Coronet in London, before setting off on their UK tour.
