5 Seconds of Summer pay their respects on Anzac Day

5 Seconds of Summer took to Twitter on Monday (April 25) to honour Anzac Day.

The day pays tribute to Australians and New Zealanders who have served or died in wars.

Drummer Ashton Irwin, who was born near Sydney, wrote online:

"Today is A.N.Z.A.C day. Thank you for making the ultimate sacrifice so we can be free people today..."

The band meanwhile are currently on the UK and Ireland leg of their Sounds Live Feels Live tour.

The jaunt comes in support of the the group's 2015 album 'Sounds Good Feels Good'.

Next up for 5 Seconds of Summer is a show in Dublin tonight (April 26).
