5 Seconds of Summer drummer Ashton Irwin has thanked fans for giving them an "incredible" opening few days to their North America tour.

The group recently opened their latest Sounds Live Feels Live world tour leg in Uncasville.

They have also played in the likes of Hershey and it seems the fans are up for a lot of fun.

Irwin wrote on Twitter on Sunday (July 3): "We've played to some incredible fans the past 3 days.

"What a start to the tour. XX."

The tour comes in support of 5 Seconds of Summer's 2015 album 'Sounds Good Feels Good'.
