Lance Bass backs Timberlake for Oscar

Lance Bass, former member of boyband ‘N Sync, is supporting his former bandmate Justin Timberlake to win an academy award for his role in smash hit film ‘The Social Network’.

The star has been receiving rave reviews as the charming and reckless Napster founder Sean Parker in the latest film about the inception of social networking giant Facebook.com

Reports say that Timberlake is launching a campaign to gain himself an Oscar nomination for the Best Supporting Actor – an idea that Bass fully supports.

Talking to PerezHilton.com, Bass said: "Of course [he deserves an Oscar nomination]! Justin did an amazing job in the movie. He was incredible. I think the movie itself should be nominated for sure as well. I mean, why not?...

"When I saw the film, it just blew me away. And he blew me away. His portrayal of Sean was just amazing."
