The 1975, Bastille, Jack Garratt and Muse win Q Awards

Last night saw the return of the annual Q Awards, which was sponsored by StubHub, at the Roundhouse venue in Camden, London.

The winners included Bastille, The 1975, U2, James Bay and Muse and some of them used their platform to hit out at secondary ticket sales websites, which often see people selling on gig tickets at higher prices. James Bay, who won the Best Solo prize, told the audience: "Apologies to my fans for ever having to deal with secondary ticketing sites. I hope we see the end of them. They definitely suck."

Jack Garratt, who took home the Breakthrough Act award, told BBC Music that he hopes his success at the ceremony will inspire others: "I don't see myself a winning anything. I've been given a flag to hold on behalf of me and a front line of hundreds of other people who are just trying to make the best music they can."
