Eagles of Death Metal on Paris Bataclan documentary: 'There's nothing easy about it'
Rock band Eagles of Death Metal are gearing up to release a documentary that shows their return to Paris following the horrific Bataclan terrorist attack that took place in November 2015.
The documentary film, entitled 'Eagles of Death Metal: Nos Amis (Our Friends)' and directed by Tom Hanks's son Colin Hanks, will premiere on HBO on February 13 and frontman Jesse Hughes explained that it was difficult to revisit the heartbreaking and frightening events.
Speaking about the project at the premiere this week, Hughes told press: "There is nothing easy about this. But that doesn’t matter."
Band member Josh Homme added: “When Colin (Hanks) started mentioning that he felt it should be captured — that it had an importance — it was a surprise to me. It’s hard to take a compliment about something like this. It would have been a shame if the punctuation of this events was just violence and body count. [The documentary] doesn’t explain anything, but it was worth a shot.”
