Jason Donovan has revealed that he plans to return to music in 2012. 

The well-known personality, who enjoyed a fruitful pop career and a series of No.1 singles throughout the late 80s and early 90s, has admitted that after his success on this year's Strictly Come Dancing he has decided that a return to the charts would be a great next move:

"There is definitely talk of doing possibly a record next year but nothing is set in stone, but why not? Possibly an old school type of big band, sort of crooner record. I don't know."

43-year-old Donovan is still in the Strictly competition and the final is set to air on BBC1 tomorrow night, December 17.
