Red Hot Chili Peppers postpone US dates after Anthony Kiedis undergoes foot surgery

Red Hot Chili Peppers have rescheduled a number of US tour dates after singer Anthony Kiedis underwent surgery after suffering foot injuries.

The band confirmed the news in a statement released on their official website, with a number of dates originally scheduled to take place over January, February and March moved to later on in the year.

Rescheduled tour dates can be found on their website. The full statement reads:

"Red Hot Chili Peppers regret to announce that they must postpone the start of their upcoming U.S. tour due to multiple foot injuries sustained by Anthony Kiedis. Anthony recently underwent surgery to remove a crushed sesamoid bone and correct a detached flexor tendon in his foot and is expected to make a full recovery."
