A number of esteemed music stars have been confirmed to attend the funeral of the late Whitney Houston.

They include Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder, who will both sing at the ceremony, which is held in New Jersey on Saturday (February 18).

The BBC reports that the likes of Dionne Warwick and Alicia Keys will also contribute to the ceremony.

Actor Kevin Costner, who co-starred alongside Houston in The Bodyguard, will also attend.

As previously reported, the funeral is set to be broadast online via the Associated Press website, whilst police have issued a plea for fans to respect the privacy of the Houston family and to stay home if they are not invited to attend.
