Daughter of Notorious B.I.G. pays tribute on 15th anniversary of his death

The daughter of Notorious B.I.G. has paid tribute to the late rapper on the 15th anniversary of his death.

18-year-old T’yanna Wallace made her first ever radio appearance yesterday (Mar 9) on New York’s Hot 97 FM to talk about her father, aka Biggie Smalls, who was shot dead aged just 24 in 1997.

She said: "I don't personally have memories [of Biggie]. But oh my gosh... [my family] have talked about him enough over time that I can feel like I know the stories."

After naming ‘Machine Gun Funk’ as her favourite Notorious B.I.G. song and revealing that she still has a close relationship with his ex-wife Faith Evans and their son CJ, she also claimed that she refuses to rely on her father’s money:

"I work at the school cafeteria. I don't need a job, but honestly, I'm independent. If I want extra pocket money I don't feel like I should have to call anyone and be like, 'Can I transfer...' No, I'll just make my own money."
