Adam Lambert says he feels "lucky" to be a role model

Adam Lambert has opened up on his role model status, revealing that he feels "lucky" to be in his position.

The vocal powerhouse has been looked up to by many since his stint on American Idol and he has developed his role model qualities alongside his solo career.

Speaking to 4Music, Lambert said that he feels "lucky" to be a role model and that he likes to inspire people to do what they want despite who they may be. When asked about being a role model, he said:

"I really feel lucky. I feel lucky that I have this opportunity to set a tone that suggests you can be whoever you want to be, and even if you are someone that is different, you can have a dream that seems kinda wild and you can get to it. The best thing to be able to inspire people with is to say 'You know what, it doesn't matter who you are - determination and positivity will get to where you need to go'."
