Katy Perry has jokingly described One Direction as 'cute boys but very illegal for me.'

The ‘One Thing’ stars recently tweeted their admiration for the 27-year-old after watching her Katy Perry: Part Of Me 3D movie, posting: "Saw the katy perry movie earlier. Wow, what an amazing woman. True talent!"

The ‘California Gurls’ singer, who last week revealed that she loves hanging out with the X-Factor boyband, has now returned the compliment in an interview with the Irish Independent:

"They went and just saw the movie and tweeted some really nice things about it. They are very cute boys but very illegal for me."

Perry also went on to declare her love for several other British musicians, adding:

"I'm such a fan of Marina And The Diamonds and her new record. I love English music. I love Morrissey and I think some incredible artists come from a little rainy place called England."
