Maroon 5's 'Payphone' claims top spot in UK streaming chart

Maroon 5's hit track 'Payphone' has topped the UK streaming chart.

The chart was launched earlier this year to reflect the growing popularity in online music streaming via programs and websites such as Spotify and Napster.

'Payphone' is currently No.1 in the UK singles chart - but it has now also been named the UK's most streamed track this week, according to the Official Charts Company.

It is closely followed by Flo Rida's 'Whistle', whilst fun.'s 'We Are Young' ranks at No.3.

Carly Rae Jepsen's pop monster 'Call Me Maybe' and Rudimental's 'Feel The Love' complete the top five at No.4 and No.5 respectively.

Elsewhere in the UK streaming chart, Chris Brown's 'Don't Wake Me Up' catapulted a massive 70 places from No.90 to No.20.
