Christina Aguilera has "no patience for" competing against other women in music

The Voice USA judge Christina Aguilera has opened up about the rivalry between women in the music industry and admitted she has "no patience for it".

Speaking to USA Today, the 'Beautiful' star explained that she's looking forward to being on the panel for the show's upcoming third season and can't wait to welcome "these very talented women" who will audition for a place on the programme.

She also revealed that it's tough being female in her particular career because it's incredibly competitive, but she feels that they should support each other as a sisterhood:

"You know this business, especially in my genre of pop, [people] pit us against one another and women against women and this and that. I'm not down for that. At this point in my life, I have no patience for it. So, I'm like, come in, the more the merrier."

When asked about her fellow Mickey Mouse Club member Britney Spears and her new X Factor USA role, Aguilera had nothing but praise and said:

"I came up with Britney on Mickey Mouse Club, we were very close. I don't know what she's going to offer specifically, but I know she's a pro and she's going to give, I think, great advice."
