Beyoncé says tennis ace Andy Murray is "the definition of inspiration"

Vocal powerhouse Beyoncé has posted a message to her official website congratulating tennis sensation Andy Murray on his recent success.

Murray became the first British star to win a male singles Grand Slam in the sport for 76 years this week during his match at the US Open and the 'Halo' hitmaker has now described him as "stellar" in a new blog post:

"Passionate, driven & determined. Andy Murray & Serena Williams shows us that anything is possible."

"Through past injuries, ups and downs, these two stellar athletes took the US Open by storm. Thank you both for showing us the true definition of inspiration. Congratulations."

Beyoncé recently performed at the United Nations World Humanitarian Day event where she treated the audience to a stunning rendition of 'I Was Here'.
