Ellie Goulding: "Music videos are a drag"

Ellie Goulding doesn't like shooting music videos but knows they are part and parcel of her singing career.

The British songstress is famed for her haunting vocals and dramatic accompanying promos, but insists filming her music videos is one of her least favourite things to do.

She explained: "There's lots of things that come with my job that I didn't ever expect I'd have to do. I like coming up with the ideas for videos and it's exciting watching the final product but on the day of the video it's not glamorous! It's lots of waiting around, lots of takes."

Goulding has also revealed the inspiration behind 'Figure 8' -the next single from her latest album ‘Halcyon’, which is set for release next month.

She told MUZU.TV: "It's about this girl whose just completely stuck loving this person and being infatuated with this person. She's chasing him all the time but it's not reciprocated. The video is this frustrated girl really.

She added: "It's cool. It's lots of me but it's really special."
