Conor Maynard wants Ed Sheeran collaboration

Conor Maynard has added another name to his collaboration wish list - Ed Sheeran.

The 'Vegas Girl' star is no stranger to working with other artists, having previously teamed up with the likes of Frank Ocean and Rita Ora.

Speaking to Bang Showbiz, Maynard said that he is looking to deviate from the musical themes prevalent in his debut album 'Contrast' - and that means bringing in some singer-songwriters, such as Sheeran or John Mayer. He said:

"I want to work with singer-songwriters. I'm hoping to work with Ed Sheeran or John Mayer. The first album was very much about the big up-tempo numbers and now it's time to get into something a bit more intimate and acoustic to really show my voice."

The Brighton boy continued: "I'm not going to move away completely from the upbeat songs as I love doing them but I'd love to try some new stuff. You've got to experiment, don't you!"

Maynard meanwhile is currently in the throes of breaking America, with his debut album released in the States on January 8.
