The Saturdays: "We aren't the new Kardashians"

The Saturdays insist they aren't the "new Kardashians" despite landing their own reality TV show.

The girl group's new series - 'Chasing The Saturdays' - premieres on E! tonight and follows the five piece as they record their new album in Hollywood.

Comparisons have been made between the show and the Kardashian clan's famous series, but Humes has rubbished such similarities.

She explained to You magazine: "But we aren’t the new Kardashians – we’re nothing like them. We love their show, but what do they do? We’ve performed professionally for years. People used to call us 'the new Girls Aloud,' and we have worked with them and they are lovely, but if we are the new anything then 'the new Spice Girls' gets us more excited."

The UK-based girl group - comprising Mollie King, Frankie Sandford, Rochelle Wiseman, Una Healy and Vanessa White - have a very close relationship after forming back in 2007.

The stars have gotten used to each other's bad habits, with White revealing: "We take the mickey out of each other all the time. That’s our relationship. We give Mollie a terrible time when we see her talking to the mirror, saying, 'Hello! My name is Mollie, nice to meet you!'

Mollie jokingly added: "Well, there’s no point standing still in front of a mirror, because you don’t know what you look like in motion. So I walk and talk a bit."
