Ed Sheeran denies Justin Bieber duet rumour

Ed Sheeran has poured cold water over speculation surrounding a possible collaboration with Justin Bieber.

Eyebrows were raised recently when the singer-songwriter revealed on Twitter that he was in the studio with Bieber's manager Scooter Braun.

The 'Boyfriend' man tweeted at the same time that he was working in a studio too, causing people to put two and two together.

However, Sheeran told The Sun that he actually wrote a song with one of Braun's other clients, believed to be Tori Kelly. He said:

"I met Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun in New York and he said he’s got this artist I want you to write with. Next time I was in LA, I was doing Jimmy Kimmel and he brought this girl to Kimmel and I met her straight afterwards. I then went to the studio and did a song."

Sheeran added:"I don't think a collaboration would work with Justin. I think collaborations should be done with people that can actually click. Two male singers makes it very difficult for it to work."
