Ne-Yo brings Christmas to underprivileged children and young people

R&B superstar Ne-Yo embraced the holiday spirit and spent part of his weekend handing out Christmas gifts to underprivileged children and young people in foster care.

The 'Beautiful Monster' hitmaker has done this good deed for the past five years as part of his foundation's 'annual giving tour' as he understands the true meaning of hardship, and told the five hundred strong party at the Kids House of Seminole County in central Florida:

"I grew up pretty much like you all. We didn't have a lot of anything ... there was no silver spoon in my mouth. All you need for success is drive, passion and one person to give a damn -- to give you a shot. And you have a room full of people like that."

Ne-Yo has also travelled to six other cities over the past week where he helped spread Christmas cheer by donating presents and talking to the residents of the foster homes about his personal experiences in the hope that his own stories might inspire them.
