Nicole Scherzinger previews new single 'Boomerang'

Nicole Scherzinger has previewed her new single 'Boomerang'.

The former Pussycat Dolls star and X Factor judge debuted a clip of the track during a VT for her mentee James Arthur on Saturday's edition of the reality talent show (December 1).

Arthur and fellow contestant Jahmene Douglas were invited onto the set of the video for the song by Scherzinger. She previously tweeted a set of photographs from the shoot, including one of her in hair and make-up in a white dressing gown.

'Boomerang' is taken from Scherzinger's forthcoming second solo album. Her debut LP, 2011's 'Killer Love', reached number eight in the UK charts, and spawned hit singles 'Don't Hold Your Breath', 'Poison' and 'Right There'.

The star, who has become known on The X Factor for her nonsensical phrases, recently revealed that she comes up with the unusual sayings while in the shower.

She explained to Heat magazine: "They come to me, usually when I'm in the shower, or when I'm at home, cleaning the house. Crazy thoughts will come into my head. Sometimes you just have to be in the moment."
