Olly Murs on his first gig experience: 'I thought I was going to pull some girls and have fun'

British pop sensation Olly Murs has revealed that the first concert he went to was Justin Timberlake at the O2 Arena in London and he went there with the intention of wooing some ladies.

Speaking to Digital Spy about his first ever gig experience, the heartthrob explained that he was really excited to watch Timberlake perform and even more excited about potentially 'pulling' some girls at the show:

"My first concert, however, was Justin Timberlake when I was 19. I never had the money to go to a concert and my parents didn't like the same music as me, so we never went together. It was the Justified tour and I think he had just split up with Britney. He did 'Cry Me A River', 'Like I Love You' and a bit of a *NSYNC medley - it was just a ridiculous gig. The girls there and everything."

Murs went onto add that his interest in the girls soon died down and he quickly became transfixed by the 'Cry Me A River' superstar's stage presence, which inspired him to pursue music:

"I was 19 thinking, 'Right, definitely going to pull tonight. Don't you worry about that.' I went into the Docklands arena and realised very quickly that no-one was there to pull. They were all there to perve and shout at Justin Timberlake! But I do remember thinking, 'One day I hope I get the chance to do that.'"
