Olly Murs has opened up on the close bond he shares with Robbie Williams.

The pair have become friends over the past couple of years and the 'Take The Crown' man invited Murs to support him on his upcoming 2013 UK stadium tour.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the Xtra Factor host said that he believes he is now at a level where he can justify going on tour with superstar Williams.

He added that the 'Candy' singer also sees similarities between himself and the former X Factor contestant. Murs said:

"This is the perfect time for me to do stadiums. Now I feel I can stand up there with Robbie, and I am the right guy to support him. What he said about me in the press conference to announce the tour was amazing. He said he sees a lot of me in him – and I see a lot of me in him, too."

He continued: "He always joked on The X Factor how I had no worries before I go on stage, which is true. He's an amazing man."
