Singer, mother and businesswoman, Cher Lloyd, has just dropped her new streetwear brand, GLO.

Having spent the last few months working on both her new single “M.I.A” and her new clothing label, Cher Lloyd is back and here to stay.

Cher Lloyd has launched a new unisex streetwear brand called GLO. In partnership with streetwear music fashion platform Post Kulture, GLO is an empowering fashion label all about strength, power and confidence.

The idea for the GLO brand began with the lightning bolt motif, which is a symbol of both strength and power. This was something Cher knew she wanted the clothes to embody when creating the collection. This is also why each item includes the small embroidered lightning detail - as a way to remind everyone that they can be strong, powerful and fearless.

When it comes to the fashion in the 11-piece capsule, boxy military silhouettes and industrial-style streetwear were big style influences. The ready-to-wear collection is casual and features pops of neon orange detailing.

The GLO collection will go live at 2pm (BST) on Post Kulture’s website.

ABOUT CHER LLOYD

Multi-platinum selling singer Cher Lloyd first rose to fame when she appeared on The X Factor in 2010.

Since then she has released two albums, amassed over 20 million followers across her socials and has almost a billion views on YouTube.

On top of this Cher has also collaborated with the likes of Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift and most recently, Quintino.

Cher Lloyd’s latest single M.I.A was released last week and has just hit 1 million views on YouTube.

As part of the GLO launch, Cher stars in a quirky and energetic lookbook fashion film that sees her smashing plates, popping orange bubblegum and strutting through portals.

Speaking about the GLO brand launch, Cher said:

"I’ve always wanted to create my own fashion brand since I was a little girl.

"While dancing in the mirror with a hairbrush I’d envision what I’d be wearing in the music video. The chance to create GLO has been a dream come true. GLO was created with a strong vision of power, strength and confidence.

"Every time you wear GLO I hope that it makes you feel exactly that - strong and powerful."

Standout pieces include the B’Bolt! Crop top which features black industrial shoulder straps that can be adjusted with a single pull. With orange piping around the centre pocket, the B'Bolt! crop top is a powerful, in-your-face item that gives any outfit a strong look. In the campaign images, Cher Lloyd wears the limited edition orange strap B’Bolt! Crop top.

Cher and her dancers also wear the GLO B’bolt! Crop tops in the music video for her latest single “M.I.A”.

The fashion in the collection is versatile, allowing for plenty of different ways to wear the same pieces - this is a great way to reduce the idea of throw away fashion. The GLO tapered joggers are one of these items and can be worn 4 different ways. Keep them all black and high-waisted or fold over the waistband and tapered ankles to reveal a pop of neon with the GLO logo.

GLO features both accessories and garments and starts at £8.50 for the GLO logo bandanas and goes up to £40 for the Cropped Zip Sweater and Tapered Joggers.

Shop the GLO collection exclusively on Post Kulture’s website (link below) today, Friday 18th October at 2pm (BST)
