Global house music icon, Louie Vega*, today announces that he’ll be bringing his critically acclaimed Elements of Life show to HERE at Outernet, London, on Friday 26 January. Garnering mammoth critical acclaim since its formation in 2003, Vega’s Elements of Life project is nothing short of a live global phenomenon, boasting a Grammy Award, x3 albums and a 2007 Superbowl pre-game, globally televised performance to 145 million viewers. Now for 2024, UK audiences can fully immerse themselves in The Elements of Life experience when Louie Vega brings the full band to British shores in January.

A leader in global dance and electronic music, Louie Vega has painted an award-winning career from a melodic palette, blended with every genre from house, salsa and afro-beat, to jazz, hip hop, gospel and soul. A master of his craft, when Louie splashes a talented bunch of musicians into that jazz, funk, dance, soul fusion… the result is a magical hearty serving of Louie Vega & The Elements of Life & Friends; a live-band project with Vega leading as musical director and conductor. Over its tenure, The Elements of Life has released three albums, won a Grammy award in 2006 for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical Curtis Mayfield, ‘Superfly (Louie Vega EOL Mix)’, and performed the song ‘One Dream’ Featuring Anané for a globally-televised audience of 145 million viewers during the 2007 Superbowl pre-game show.

Louie Vega: A DJ, music producer, label operator, Grammy Winner and 7 times nominated, and as one-half of Masters at Work, Louie Vega is a cornerstone and a permanent part of dance music history. Besides producing his own releases with an array of vocal and instrumental collaborators, he has remixed tracks for commercial dance-pop vocalists and underground producers alike. Remarkably eclectic across four decades, Vega has been deeply immersed in an array of club music styles - house being foremost, and has all the while kept the genre's connections to disco, freestyle, rap, Afro and Latin jazz illuminated. Among his most notable career achievements are number one Billboard club hits such as ‘Ride on the Rhythm’ (with Marc Anthony 1991) and ‘I Can't Get No Sleep’ (Masters at Work featuring India 1993), and a Grammy award in the category of Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical (for his remix of Curtis Mayfield’s ‘Superfly’. His revered discography of mix albums and studio projects includes Louie Vega Starring… XXVII (2016), which was Grammy-nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album. The success of Vega’s joint venture Nuyorican Soul with partner Kenny Dope Gonzalez, allowed Vega to cut a path to another all-star affair, Elements of Life. With EOL, Vega pulled in fellow deep house heavy weights Josh Milan of Blaze, Cape Verdian Artist Anané, Poet Ursula Rucker along with top-tier session vocalists Cyndi Mizelle and Lisa Fischer, which culminated with the album Eclipse (2013). The collaborative spirit continued through Louie Vega Starring… XXVII, on which Vega worked with Funkadelic, Jocelyn Brown, Bebe Winans, Monique Bingham, Leroy Burgess, Bucie, and long-term collaborator and life partner Anané. That album was nominated for a Grammy in the category of Best Dance/Electronic Album.
