Winners of Glastonbury Festival’s Pilton Party 2023, Yamaha Music London’s first ever UK music ambassadors and recent ‘Best Live Act’ nominees in the Dorset Original Music Awards – the Galaxy Thief* boys are grabbing serious attention on the live music scene. Now, ahead of supporting Jake Bugg this December, Galaxy Thief announce the release of their new single ‘Last Chance’ – out now.

The fifth single release from Galaxy Thief this year, this new track is an original penning by founding band member, George Bowerman. ‘Last Chance’ is a gritty, riff-bestowed melodic expression of the undercurrent of conflict that ripples throughout our lives. Deeply moved by the Ukraine war, the band poured their emotions into the words and notes of this new track, bringing a message which relates to the reality of emerging conflicts, as well as the turmoil that we battle internally each day. Anthemic, vibrant and energy laden, ‘Last Chance’ has powerful riffs and lyrics which bring a sense of urgency and foreboding, challenging the listener to wake up and engage with the crises of our times, promising some hope that we can ‘set it right’ and make a difference.

With close to 50 live dates across the year, Rhys, George, Ben and Jake have stamped an indelible mark on the UK music scene, playing alongside the likes of Scouting For Girls, Toploader, The Hoosiers, Dodgy and supporting Arlo Parks and The Streets at Worthy Farm for Glastonbury Festival’s Pilton Party 2023. For those who want to immerse themselves in Galaxy Thief one more time this year, catch them opening for Jake Bugg in Poole on 11 December.

Proven masters of the recorded format, Galaxy Thief bound out of 2023 with this spectacular message from ‘Last Chance’ and promise to make 2024 larger than life – watch these boys explode!

About

*Galaxy Thief: A 4-piece grassroots, home-grown indie rock band comprising of George, Ben, Rhys and Jake, Galaxy Thief are based on the South coast of England, recording from their own farm-based studio. This gives them the freedom to write and record 24/7, whenever the inspiration grabs them. Rousing audiences with their incredible live charisma, the band have notched up several hundred live performances throughout the UK (including main stage at the British Grand Prix and The Invaders of the Future stage at BESTIVAL), wrote and recorded their first EP ‘Mind Games’ and released a string of singles which have all received significant radio play including BBC Introducing. Their track ‘Money’ featured on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ and Sky MYTV ‘My Top Ten’. The boys were hand selected by Yamaha Music London to be the brand’s first ever music ambassadors, and have since recorded with solo artist and fellow YML Ambassador stable-mate, Amber T, on their Spring 2021 single ‘Shaken’. Rising from an emerging band, into an established presence on the live indie/rock scene, Galaxy Thief are now firm favourites on festivals and live stages across the UK.
