Today Sheffield’s newest & darkest force, Baba Naga have shared a second track from their forthcoming self-released 10” EP “Plná Krvy” / “DeificYen”, out this Friday, November 4th.
“DeificYen” is the record’s b-side, following “Plná Krvy”, which was shared online last month. The band describe this new track as “a portrail of a godless soul seeking genuflection from celestial others. A paean call to the limacine masses.”

“Plná Krvy” / “DeificYen” is the second in a trilogy of 10" EPs. Produced by Ross Orton (Arctic Monkeys/ Drenge/God Damn) with artwork by Detroit illustrative artist David Medel, the EP picks up on the trio’s different, future-leaning brand of heavy, driving psychedelia.
Baba Naga are shamen in a world where the existence of souls is denied, they offer stories in song and give hopeless prayer to the people. The music is a peregrination from desperation to despair, channelled into euphoric, psychedelic pagan doom. The live show is moody, trippy, a sickening high; the shows are not just gigs, they are worships, combining sound and visuals to offer experiences that conjure a mesmerising sense of the beyond.
Sheffield exists on the boundary between urban and wild. Baba Naga formed in this convergence, three men lost and in need of each other. Bass, Drums, Shreds and Chants.
The band have recently taken their immsersive live show to Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia, Southsea Festival & Rough Trade’s 40th birthday celebrations at the Shacklewell Arms and have a number of forthcoming regional shows, including a sold out hometown show at Sheffield’s Queens Social Club.
