Taylor Swift hopes to grow old gracefully: 'It's hard to be a woman in music and to age in the spotlight'

'Blank Space' songstress Taylor Swift has revealed that it's really hard for females in the music or entertainment industries to stay relevant and appealing as they age.

During a new interview with TIME magazine, the beauty explained that women are pulled to pieces by the media as they age and she hopes that there will be the opportunity to 'grow old gracefully':

"I just struggle to find a woman in music who hasn't been completely picked apart by the media, or scrutinised and criticised for ageing, or criticised for fighting ageing. It just seems to be much more difficult to be a woman in music and to grow older. I just really hope that I will choose to do it as gracefully as possible."

Swift also teased potential special guests for her upcoming 2015 '1989' tour and confessed that she wants to keep audience members entertained and on their toes: "I love Iggy Azalea, I love Haim. I'd say Vance Joy, but he's opening up the tour, so he'll be there anyway. The things that I try to really focus on when bringing out people as surprise guests is what do my fans really want to see, what would they lose their minds over?"
