Taylor Swift shocked a young cancer patient fan at the weekend by giving her a home visit.

Seven-year-old Delaney Clements is a big fan of the singer and the Twitter campaign #TaylorMeetDelaney was created in her honour.

Clements, however, got her wish recently when the superstar turned up at her house for a visit.

She wrote on Instagram on Sunday (December 20): "I was just laying down taking a nap in my room when my mom said I had a visitor.

"And I thought it might just be another person coming to see how I was. Then suddenly the most amazing miracle happens...

"The Taylor Swift walked into my bedroom and spent the afternoon with me just talking and hanging!!!! I am beyond Blessed for everyone's help and support!!! Thank you!!! Happy holidays!!"

Swift meanwhile posted photos from her visit, adding: "Merry Christmas Baby @delaneyy.bugg."

The singer made the appearance on Saturday afternoon (December 19).
